From 15 to 20 June, the 12th EDCTP Forum brought together over 1,200 participants in Kigali, Rwanda. Co-organised by Global Health EDCTP3 and the European & Developing Countries Clinical Trials Partnership (EDCTP) โ in partnership with the Ministry of Health, Republic of Rwanda, and the Rwanda Biomedical Centre โ the Forum tackled some of todayโs most pressing global health challenges.
The programme addressed issues ranging from neglected tropical diseases, tuberculosis, and malaria to infectious diseases, innovative diagnostics, and ๐๐ง๐ญ๐ข๐ฆ๐ข๐๐ซ๐จ๐๐ข๐๐ฅ ๐ซ๐๐ฌ๐ข๐ฌ๐ญ๐๐ง๐๐ (AMR). The impact of AMR โ particularly in Africa โ was powerfully highlighted throughout the discussions.
We were glad to see Dr Ralf Sudbrak, Deputy Director of the Global AMR R&D Hub, contribute to these vital conversations. At the Stakeholder Group Meeting, he and other participants underscored the need for end-to-end thinking โ from research to production โ to drive meaningful progress.
A big thank you to all partners for advancing the global response to AMR!
