ESCMID Global April 2025
From April 11 – 15, the Hub’s team joined ESCMID Global 2025 in Vienna, taking part in a series of events where antimicrobial resistance was front and center as a pressing global health challenge.
We engaged with key AMR leaders — including Jennifer Cohn, Director of Global Access at the Global Antibiotic R&D Partnership (GARDP) — to explore concrete ways to accelerate action.
As Jennifer Cohn powerfully noted:
“We can’t just focus on innovations for high-income countries, and surveillance and containment for low- and middle-income countries”
We couldn’t agree more. Ensuring equitable access to AMR tools, treatments, and innovations must be a global priority— not a geographical privilege.
