4th G20 Health Working Group Meeting, Natal, Brazil
From September 1-3, 2024, the 4th G20 Health Working Group Meeting convened in Natal, Brazil, focused on linking climate Change, One Health and antimicrobial resistance (AMR).
The meeting kicked off with a side event on AMR, skillfully led by Secretary Ethel Maciel, highlighting the Brazilian’s Presidency’s continued commitment to mobilizing action across the G20 on one of the world’s major health challenges.
The event comes at a crucial time as we step closer to the UNGA High Level Meeting on AMR on September 26th in New York and the 4th Global High-Level Ministerial Meeting on AMR in Jeddah on 14-16th November.
The meeting highlighted the power of continued collaboration and the importance of a robust evidence base to guide decision making on the most critical health challenges.
