Project Showcases – Data Science in Government
Antimicrobial resistance (AMR) is one of the most urgent global health challenges of our time. But can artificial intelligence (AI) help us get ahead of the curve?
We are proud to present “AI Meets Antimicrobial Resistance: Leveraging AI Against the Silent Pandemic”, featured as part of the Data Innovation Lab Project Showcase series.
This showcase highlights the power of data-driven tools to enhance global health policymaking and invites stakeholders—from governments and multilateral agencies to civil society—to explore innovative AI applications for crisis preparedness, foreign policy, and sustainable development.
We were invited to showcase how the Hub is using AI to inform smarter global health decisions. Dr. Frank Tu and Usha Lamichanne from the Hub Secretariat, together with Vincent Market, present how we have developed and deployed a pilot AI-powered algorithm to classify AMR R&D projects in our Dynamic Dashboard—a global repository of public and philanthropic AMR R&D investments. This tool strengthens our ability to provide a robust, data-driven evidence base for strategic decision-making.
