6th meeting of the Global Leaders Group on AMR
7-8th February, 2023: The Global AMR R&D Hub was thrilled to have the opportunity to present on AMR research and development across sectors at the 6th meeting of the Global Leaders Group on AMR last week (Feb 7-8), hosted by Prime Minister Mia Amor Mottley in Barbados! The meeting was an opportunity to take stock of progress made by the group since its establishment (in Nov 2020), but also to look forward, with a focus on turning the political momentum generated so far into action, especially as we head towards the UN General Assembly in 2024 & the 4th High Level Ministerial Conference on AMR, hosted by Saudi Arabia.
G20 – 1st Health Working Group Meeting, Kerala, India
18–20th January, 2023: The 1st Health Working Group meeting under the G20 India Presidency was held on 18 – 20 January 2023 in Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala. The meeting was attended by representatives of G20 member countries as well as invited countries and relevant international organisations. The Global AMR R&D Hub was invited to attend and take part in the discussions and interventions.

15-16th November, 2022: The Hub welcomes the recent publication of the G20 Leaders’ and Health Ministers statements which renew the commitment for action on AMR, recognising that it is an important element of pandemic prevention, preparedness and response, and that if no action is taken it will continue to set the global health community further back from achieving the Sustainable Development Goals.
