Board Chair

Eirik Rødseth Bakka is a Norwegian public servant working at the Norwegian Mission in Geneva as the Counsellor for Health. In this role, he represents Norway’s interests within multilateral health and global governance processes, with a particular focus on international cooperation in areas such as global health security and antimicrobial resistance (AMR).

He currently serves as Chair of the Board of Members of the Global AMR R&D Hub, where he helps guide strategic direction and foster collaboration among member governments and partners to accelerate research and development addressing AMR. 

With a background in pharmacy, molecular biology and infectious diseases, his work sits at the intersection of diplomacy, global health policy, and science-driven innovation, with emphasis on strengthening coordinated international responses to AMR and other infectious disease challenges.
