On 29 April 2026, the AMR One Health Network met in Brussels chaired by the European Commission’s Directorate‑General for Health and Food Safety. The in‑person meeting brought together Member States, EU agencies and key stakeholders to exchange on current priorities in antimicrobial resistance (AMR) across the One Health spectrum.
Chaired by the European Commission, the AMR One Health Network provides a platform for coordination and dialogue across the human health, veterinary, environmental and food safety sectors. It convenes government experts, EU agencies, Commission services and stakeholders to support more coherent AMR policies, strengthen cross‑sector collaboration and facilitate knowledge sharing.
At the meeting, discussions covered a broad range of topics, including AMR-related measures in the new EU pharmaceutical legislation, the role of diagnostics, updates from EU agencies, global One Health AMR initiatives, and the development of EU guidance on infection prevention and control.
As a stakeholder of the Network, the Hub values this forum as an important channel to remain closely connected to European policy discussions and to contribute perspectives from its work on AMR R&D investments, incentives and evidence-informed priority setting. Engagement in the Network also supports the Hub’s broader mission to strengthen coordination across countries, sectors and partners working to address AMR through a One Health approach.
