𝐀𝐬 𝐝𝐫𝐮𝐠 𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐚𝐜𝐜𝐞𝐥𝐞𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐬, 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐧𝐞𝐞𝐝 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐧𝐞𝐰 𝐚𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐛𝐢𝐨𝐭𝐢𝐜𝐬 𝐡𝐚𝐬 𝐧𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐫 𝐛𝐞𝐞𝐧 𝐠𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐫—𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐆𝐞𝐫𝐦𝐚𝐧𝐲 𝐢𝐬 𝐬𝐡𝐨𝐰𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐩𝐨𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐥 𝐰𝐢𝐥𝐥 𝐭𝐨 𝐚𝐜𝐭

On 24 September 2025, the 𝐏𝐚𝐫𝐥𝐢𝐚𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐚𝐫𝐲 𝐆𝐫𝐨𝐮𝐩 𝐨𝐧 𝐀𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐦𝐢𝐜𝐫𝐨𝐛𝐢𝐚𝐥 𝐑𝐞𝐬𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞 reconvened in Berlin, bringing together parliamentarians and experts to address AMR and the market incentives needed to spur antibiotic innovation.

We were pleased to have Dr. Ralf Sudbrak represent the Hub at the event, contributing valuable insights to this important conversation.

We also congratulate Reps. Stephan Albani (CDU) and Dr. Franziska Kersten (SPD) on their election as chair and co-chair of the Group. Their leadership reflects Germany—and the governing Grand Coalition’s—commitment to advancing solutions to AMR.

Designing incentives for antibiotic development requires courage and bold thinking—and Germany’s parliamentarians are stepping up to meet the challenge!
