Global AMR R&D Hub Joins the European Partnership on One Health AMR

We are delighted to announce that the Global AMR R&D Hub, hosted by the German Center for Infection Research (DZIF), has joined the European Partnership on One Health Antimicrobial Resistance (EUP OHAMR). Alongside the Italian National Institute of Health (Istituto Superiore di Sanità, ISS), the Hub is one of the partnership’s two newest members.

Bringing together 55 organisations from 30 countries across the EU and beyond, EUP OHAMR advances research and innovation to address antimicrobial resistance through an integrated One Health approach—recognising the connections between human, animal and plant health and the environment. It is co-funded by the EU and coordinated by the Swedish Research Council.

Approximately €250 million in pooled funding is available for R&I projects. The EU is providing up to €75 million in co-funding for the implementation of the programme and to support R&I projects.

As a member of the Partnership, the Global AMR R&D Hub will contribute to Work Package 2, International Strategy Alignment and Collaboration in AMR, and Work Package 6, Knowledge Valorisation, supporting the exchange, transfer and uptake of research and innovation outcomes by end-users.

It is with great enthusiasm and a deep sense of honour that we join the EUP OHAMR. The Partnership’s mission to strengthen One Health research and innovation will be critical not only for Europe, but globally.

We look forward to contributing the Hub’s data, insights, and expertise, and to working alongside our partners to advance our shared mission of tackling AMR through a truly One Health approach.
