On September 22, the Hub was delighted to join international partners at the High-level Meeting on AMR for G7 countries in Ottawa, Canada.
Our representative, Suzanne Edwards, presented on the current Progress and Opportunities for AMR R&D. At the meeting, Suzanne:
- Proposed a roadmap to sustain and scale up efforts advancing Pull Incentives for critical new antibiotics
- Urged countries to think globally while acting locally to address persistent market challenges i.e. through streamlining and harmonising the common elements of pull incentives
We at the Hub applaud the progress G7 countries have made in advancing Pull Incentives and encourage them to keep striving and championing this important aspect of the AMR challenge.
Canada, one of our valued board members, has been a steadfast supporter of the Hub since our inception, and we are truly grateful for this partnership.
We’d also like to extend our sincere thanks to Senator Mohamed Ravalia and the Canadian Antimicrobial Innovation Coalition (CAIC) for convening such a crucial and timely meeting!
