Human Health

The rise of antimicrobial resistance (AMR) has been recognized as one of the largest global threats to mankind and puts major healthcare advances achieved in the past decades in jeopardy. While stewardship and better infection prevention and control are certainly essential to put a break on further increase of resistance development, concerted global action is required to foster R&D of new antimicrobials and address the way they are incentivized.

The Global AMR R&D Hub assists with the identification of AMR R&D priorities by providing consolidated information through the Dynamic Dashboard and the resulting analysis. The goal is to help support high-level decision and policy makers in the efficient allocation of resources and help maximize the impact of research activities and efforts in a One Health context in order to mitigate the AMR threat.
