G20 – 1st Health Working Group Meeting, Kerala, India

1820th January, 2023:The 1st Health Working Group meeting under the G20 India Presidency was held on 18 – 20 January 2023 in Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala. The meeting was attended by representatives of G20 member countries as well as invited countries and relevant international organisations. The Global AMR R&D Hub was invited to attend and take part in the discussions and interventions.

Discussions were centred on three priorities:

Priority 1: Health emergencies prevention, preparedness and response (with focus on One Health and AMR)

Priority 2: Strengthening Cooperation in Pharmaceutical Sector with Focus on Availability and Access to Safe, Effective, Quality and Affordable Medical Countermeasures – VTDs (Vaccines, Therapeutics & Diagnostics)

Priority 3: Digital Health Innovations and Solutions to Aid Universal Health Coverage and Improve Healthcare Service Delivery
