On December 19, 2019 the Secretariat of the Global AMR R&D Hub was presented at the STAR-IDAZ IRC Workshop on “AMR and the development of innovative alternatives to antibiotics (ATA)” in Bangkok (www.star-idaz.net), which took place adjacent to the 3rd International Symposium on Alternatives to Antibiotics (ATA2019, https://www.ars.usda.gov/alternativestoantibiotics).
Dr Ralf Sudbrak, Scientific Programme Officer at the Hub, was invited to participate in the newly formed working group on ATA which aims at the formulation of a global research agenda on the development of alternatives to antibiotics.
